A gentle journey through breath and sound into deep rest
Join us for a restorative breathwork and sound bath journey, combining gentle breathwork with the resonant sounds of gongs and other sound healing instruments.
These two practices work beautifully together. You'll begin with restorative breathwork, exploring soft, calming breathing techniques that help you settle into your body and turn your attention inward.
Throughout the breathwork, the sounds of the gongs and other instruments will accompany you, adding another layer to the practice and creating a rich, sensory experience.
From there, the experience opens into a deeper sound journey. You will let go of the breathwork and be immersed in the sounds around you.
Together, breath and sound offer a chance to pause from the demands of everyday life, and connect with your body in a space of deep relaxation and rest.
Who is this Breathwork & Sound Bath Journey for?
This session is for anyone who would like some time to slow down and turn inwards. You don't need any previous experience with breathwork or sound healing
The session takes place lying down, with blankets and eye masks provided. Soft lighting and sound create a calm environment where you can get comfortable and settle into the practice.
By the end of the class, you'll feel calmer, more relaxed and with renewed energy and presence.

A sound bath is an immersive experience where you are surrounded by the sounds and vibrations of gongs and other instruments.
Gongs have been used in cultural ceremonies and rituals for thousands of years, dating back as far as 3,000 BC. Today, they are also widely used in sound therapy, which continues to be explored for its effects on physical and mental wellbeing.
The sound waves created by gongs awaken our dermatomes (nerves that relay sensations throughout the body) and can help us reach a kind of meditative state. They have also been associated with easing pain, headaches and migraines, physical injuries and other ailments.
During the sound bath, a variety of sounds are used. Some may be very pleasant, while others may have an unsettling effect. There are also moments of silence. This is a different experience from, say, a music concert, as you don’t think about the sounds — instead, you allow the sounds to enter your deeper self and send you to a meditative state.
The benefits of Sound Baths
Sound baths can be a way to combat the effects of stress. Sound waves can free up emotional blockages and even encourage damaged cells to self-repair!
In one study, 100 gong bath participants mentioned that the practice significantly improved their psychosocial state, giving them a fresh outlook on their life and work.
They have also been associated with easing pain, headaches, migraines, physical injuries and other ailments, while potentially lowering blood pressure and stimulating blood flow. Sound baths can also support recovery from anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress.
The deep meditative state that can arise during a sound bath can also help you become more connected to your mind and body. This increased awareness can help with recognising impulses and changing unhelpful habits, and gong baths have been used to support recovery from substance abuse and other addictive behaviours.
