Restorative Breathwork Class in Hackney

Take some time out to relax and restore with this gentle breathwork class, designed to soothe your nervous system and create inner calm.

You’ll be guided through some gentle breathing patterns that help you to relax and tune into your body’s natural rhythms. The pace is slow and supportive, so you have space to truly unwind.

Using mindful, conscious breathing techniques, this breathwork class will support you to:

• Ease stress and tension
• Calm the mind and slow racing thoughts
• Reconnect deeply with your body
• Renew your energy in a natural, grounded way

The class is held with carefully selected music, soft lighting and calming scents to create a soothing, immersive environment to recharge. It is practised sitting or lying down, blankets and eye masks are provided.


Who is this Breathwork Class for?

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, mentally busy, or simply in need of a pause, this breathwork class offers a nourishing space to slow down and reconnect with yourself - creating space for rest and renewal. It’s suitable for both those new to breathwork and those more experienced.

By the end of the class, you’ll feel lighter in the body, quieter in the mind, and more centred within yourself, so you can move through the rest of your week with greater ease and presence.



Your Facilitator

Johanna is a Certified Breathwork Facilitator trained in trauma-informed modalities. She has intentionally designed this evening session as a soft landing space to soothe your nervous system, ease stress and create a grounded sense of inner calm.

If you feel called to explore this work more deeply, 1:1 private breathwork sessions are also available for a more personalised and supported experience.


FAQs for this Event

  • This is a gentle, non-strenuous class where you’ll be lying down for most of the session. There’s no need to change — just come as you are and wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

  • Restorative breathwork is a gentle practice designed to support nervous system regulation. Emotional or physical sensations may occasionally arise during the practice. You are invited to breathe at your own pace and remain within your personal comfort level throughout.

    While this is a beautifully supportive practice for most adults (aged 18+), there are a few instances where we need to take extra care. Please consult your doctor before participating if you have any of the following conditions:

    • Pregnancy (unless advised otherwise by a qualified healthcare professional)

    • Cardiovascular conditions (including angina, history of heart attack or stroke)

    • Uncontrolled high blood pressure or low blood pressure with fainting history

    • Aneurysm

    • Epilepsy or seizure disorders

    • Recent injury or surgery

    • Severe or unstable asthma (please bring your inhaler if applicable)

    • Glaucoma or detached retina

    • Significant or unstable heart, lung, or spinal conditions

    • Acute illness or infection

    • Unstable endocrine conditions (including thyroid or diabetes)

    • Severe psychiatric conditions (such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis) or recent psychiatric crisis requiring hospitalisation.

  • Group class bookings are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, please feel free to gift your spot to a friend.
