Breathwork Session FAQs

Try to avoid eating 2 hours before a session.
Avoid alcohol the day of your session.
For home visits and online sessions, you will need a quiet, private space with room to lie down on a yoga mat.

Wear loose, comfy clothes or something you would wear to a yoga class so that you can lie down and take big breaths comfortably.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is not recommended during pregnancy.

Breathwork is a safe practice, but it can sometimes bring up strong physical or emotional experiences. For this reason, it’s recommended only for individuals aged 18 and over.
It is not suitable during pregnancy and is not recommended for those with certain medical conditions. These include:
Cardiovascular disorders, including angina, previous heart attack or stroke
High Blood Pressure (not controlled with medication) or Low Blood Pressure with a fainting history
Epilepsy or convulsive disorders
Severe asthma (for mild asthma bring your inhaler)
Recent injuries or surgeries
Lung, heart or spinal issues
Glaucoma or detached retina
Uncontrolled thyroid conditions and diabetes
History of aneurysms
Severe mental health conditions (such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis)
If you’re unsure whether breathwork is right for you, please get in touch or check with your healthcare provider beforehand.

It’s recommended to allow at least 30 minutes after your breathwork session to settle and ground yourself.
